Digital influencers are, for me, one of the best ways to reach the target. They generate great content in widely known and used platforms, mainly Blogs, Twitter, Facebook…, and they have loyal followers. So, they have all that will take months and a big amount of money for most of the companies All that is grown with effort and dedication in a natural way by a passionate and neutral opinion leader. Making someone talk about you or about your clients is one of the main goals in communication. Even more if they say nice things about you. So, why not knocking on influencers doors.
Building satisfying links with collaborators.
First step is to define the goal that will be mainly SEO or branding, and the way influencers will help you reach it (e.g. script, layout, fair linkbuilding…) and her compensation if needed. Be sure to follow Google’s policies. Then comes the target group and finally, sometimes with tons of creativity, finding the place where everything comes together. Be sure that this place (blog, YouTube channel, social profile) and the owner is aligned with your brand, product, service or your clients’ ones and it has enough reach and quality (Page Rank, Alexa Rank, followers…). Share your findings with your client or product manager and let him feel comfortable. If green light shines, it’s time to contact the influencer.

Let the influencer knows that you and your client appreciate her job. You’ve been checking the style, the content and the tone of the communication and it is perfect. Say it! Take care of the collaborator from the very first time. If you are sure to do good this first step, it will be the beginning of a long list of collaborations. If not, in the worst case, it will lead to a reputation crisis and, remember, she is an influencer for your target. Now it’s time to explain with full details what you expect. Also, it’s time to hear from the influencer what she expects of this common project. There is no place for doubts. Green light again? Well, then it’s time to generate the content!
The influencer is the expert. Let her work
The collaborator knows what to do and you have an idea of how would be the final result. Be confident, offer your help and try to be there quickly anytime you will be required. All parties are focused in getting the best results but also, as fast as possible. You are the intermediary between the collaborator and the client. Any little issue can delay the project. Don’t let you be part of the problem. Be the solution!
Dealing with the loose ends
There is always something to change. Even working with the most professional collaborators, the most comprehensive clients and regarding excellent pieces. Use your diplomacy to communicate in a constructive way all changes that should be done and try to reach a consensus for those that cannot be changed. This is why it is so important to provide all details before starting it all. Do your job, satisfy all the players and let the publication see the light.
That’s not all
If you have done your job, this will not be the end. Influencer will be happy to work with a brand, client will be satisfied with results and you will have more requests to do actions with other influencers. Keep a list of the contacts you’ve been working with and organize it according to subjects. And remember that one collaborator can cover several areas of interests. Try to keep in touch even if there aren’t projects to be held because opportunities will come also from her side in the way of new contacts or clients.
